We’re a two-person creative team with over 20 years of combined experience working together in the B2B foodservice industry, primarily supporting quick-service restaurant brands and national foodservice accounts.
After years of helping big names refine their menus, marketing, visuals, and customer experience, we created The Food Nerds to bring that same level of strategy to the little guys — the startups, stand-alones, and local restaurants building something from the ground up. We know great design can be expensive. We also know not every restaurant has a big-agency budget. That’s why we specialize in practical, thoughtful branding and marketing support designed for real-world restaurant owners who need their food, menus, and message to work harder.
Why We Started The Food Nerds
Most design studios can make something look nice. Far fewer understand the business behind the plate. We spent years inside the foodservice industry — learning how menus drive margins, how branding builds repeat customers, and how the right visuals can turn a first-time guest into a regular.
We also saw a gap. The independent restaurants doing the most interesting work often had the least access to quality design. The big chains had teams of marketers and agencies. The neighborhood spot with incredible food? They were doing their own menus in a word processor.
